Fashion as one of the major industries in the economy is expected to change drastically from the impact of the recent novel corona virus. From what used to be abnormal to what is now considered normal we can all agree that life is surely changing in all sectors.

Let’s see, you probably put on too much clothes now more than ever. Think about it! from face masks to gloves, wraps and all that needs to be on your body just to make you feel secure from the infection, this is seriously shaping your whole new idea of what fashion is and where is it headed. We expect the new trend to be more baggy, long dresses, covering most parts, even if change is going to take us to our previous trend it might not be  fast compared to what is now kicking. Today almost everything is for sale, however as a model there are things that you need and can have for free. Before we go further let’s be very clear as a young model you need to create and maintain awareness of your image to the public as much as possible. So here is a quick list of things that you might actually have and can enjoy using for free or maybe almost free.

1. Your own website/blog

With just a few clicks you can design your website and upload your portfolio. We understand that social media has at large helped us in communicating our businesses and showcase our portfolios. But a website can give you an extra mile into making a perfect image and push a more serious image to the public. Most models link their social media accounts with their websites.

2. Your Personality

As a young model people will always try to see what wxactly is so special about you. You may think that only having that tall, fair skin, athletic body is enough, well i have a surprise for you! People don’t really care about that, what actually drive people close to or away from you is how you make them feel. As a model you should not create this heavenly sent feeling that “..only the chosen can socialize with me..” You need to make people feel compelled towards you and not because they don’t have a choice but because they feel good about it. Make yourself a sense of purpose to others’ lives. Participate in social events not to have photos for your portfolio but to have moments of good memory. Do not always bring cameras to people’s events just to have your image polished.

3. Your Friends

I know i know, some of you will say “..but hey ialready have 300k followers on instagram!..” The question is how many of those know you personally and can actually selflessly push your agenda without asking anything in return. In life should have people who can help you when requested and you should always be willing to do the same. You do not need to create a “help me and i will help you back later relationship” you need to have real friends, people who see and relate to your struggle.

4. Free advice

Have you ever tried explaining something to someone and before you could finish they jumped right up and “..hey i know that…” We call these people jump starts, are you one of them? If you are not good. If you are, then you really need to change. It’s simple people will advise you on different issues, whether you know or you do not know keep your mouth shut and listen. No matter how many times you have experienced something it is worth to sit and listen to other people’s advice. By doing so you earn their experience, trust and comfort. People feel good when they add something in te success of others. Good luck always comes alomg with those who have the eyes and ears of good interactions. Don’t jump start your luck, you will surely hit a wall.

5. A life

We can have so much time until one day we wake up and realise we have missed valuable moments not to be repeated again. This train is going to zion and no one has eve returned. Please live your life to the fullest, do not wait to make it big to start livin. You started living years ago when you tok your first breath. Make it count, try to enjoy things and understand your career has got nothing to do withyour life as a hun being. Do not waste yourself for a dream com true only to live in other people’s memories.
